Het is stil aan de overkant, toch? ? That's the biggest roadblock for Checo, being a specialist will only get you so far since street circuits aren't the norm. You see that even a hybrid street circuit is not really to his liking. His only hope is a mechanical dnf for Max, but if Max is struggling with mechanical failure Checo might as well. My tinhat theory about Max not getting a time in in qualifying and going for the worse strategy during the race is that it was all in the name of getting some excitement to the US fans.08-05-2023 08:20

True, I already settled for Max as second because of the sprint weekend format, but I wonder what else Max had on his mind. He'd been distracted all weekend, GP even had to remind him which mode he needed to start the race.04-05-2023 13:02

It's interesting when people talk about DNFs it's only ever about Max. I'm more worried about Checo since Australia happened, plus he was skirting the edge in Baku way too much. Max is being mighty conservative for his liking, he even said pre-sprint he'd much rather avoid damage than getting those extra points. I think that's also partly why the fallout with George was as passionate as it was, aside from George waving the incident away.04-05-2023 12:59

I think it's a bit silly to argue semantics. In one championship something happened which the FIA knew about but didn't act on properly and timely. In the other championship the race director made a decision impacting the final result. In both championships neither Lewis or Max were responsible for the actions of the people that were in control.04-05-2023 12:54
